There have been good runs of sea trout coming through, a good number have been caught on fly and spinner.
Low water have kept salmon from running but a few have been caught on the Finchale Abbey stretch, more rain will bring salmon up and we expect some good runs of fish during this month.
Update 2013 -
There are a lot of sea trout in the river at the moment,Some big fish have been seen on the river, Salmon are starting to move but we need some rain to move them up. For the sea trout angler fly's such as Peter -Ross Teal blue, silver and black Pennel all do well.
